Privacy Policy

Sandhan (“we”, “us”) is an independent job-search aggregator. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, where it is stored, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be plain about it.

What we collect

Only what you give us. If you create an account, we store your email address. If you fill in a profile, we store the details you enter — your name, location, headline, experience level, education, skills, and job preferences — plus any jobs you choose to save. We do not ask for, and you should not enter, national ID numbers, financial information, or other sensitive identifiers.

Why we use it

To run the service you asked for: to sign you in, to let you save jobs, and to compute how well each listing matches your profile (the match score and the “what fits / gaps” breakdown). We process this data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account and set up a profile, and to provide the service you request. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

Where it is stored

Account and profile data are stored with Supabase, whose servers are located in the United States, protected by row-level security so that each account can access only its own data. Aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics are collected via Vercel Analytics. By using Sandhan you consent to your data being processed on these services outside Bangladesh.

Job listings and third parties

The job listings shown on Sandhan are aggregated from public job boards and remain the property of their respective owners. We link out to the original posting; we are not the source of that content and are not affiliated with those boards or employers.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile at any time, export a copy of your data, or delete it — all from your profile page. Deleting removes your stored profile and saved jobs. Consistent with Bangladesh’s Personal Data Protection Act 2026, you may also contact us to access, correct, or erase your data.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your data it is removed from our database; some of it may also live in your own browser’s local storage, which you can clear at any time.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your session and, for visitors without an account, to keep saved jobs on your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

We rely on Supabase’s authentication and row-level security and transmit data over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. For any privacy question or request, contact the developer via the developer page.
